Case of War crimes: SL in the US net

While Tamil Diaspora constantly having rounds of talks with the Western Countries to convey the proper message about the Sri Lanks’s post war situation and How Mahinda regime executed the mass murders in the Wanni soil, the America and its allies preparing the case of War crimes against the Sri Lanka, the high placed sources said.

These sources further said that the US was rapidly making a case of war crimes against Sri Lanka on the basis of the conduct of her armed forces, police as well as the political leadership during the recently concluded war and former Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mr. Robert Blake, now based at the State Department was behind the move.

Sri Lanka has no Political will - Bruce Haigh

In Sri Lanka there is neither the political will nor common compassion to meet Tamil aspirations for the future. State Terrorism and Absolute Animalism

The Sri Lankan government’s extra-judicial execution of Tamils has been brought to light by London-based Channel-4 news. It gives clear evidence of how state terrorism has been conducted against surrendered and innocent people.

In the early months of this year, after heavy shelling and artillery attacks in civilian-populated areas in the Wanni, thousands of people had surrendered themselves to the Sri Lanka army in the absence of any alternative to being bombed to death in their homes.

Many of these people had been butchered like cattle, with women raped in army bunkers and then killed. At the time these atrocities began to take place the LTTE raised the alarm to both civilians and the international community. Civilians were warned about the possibility of being extra-judicially slaughtered by the soldiers of the Sri Lankan army and the message was conveyed to the international community through the LTTE media network. The international community turned a (deliberate) blind eye to these incidents, and instead demanded evidence for these supposed massacres, even when it was well aware the Sri Lankan government wasn’t allowing any independent journalists into the war zone.

‘HEALTH HORROR’ IN IDP CAMPS

Under the newly Sinhalasised health system in Northern Sri Lanka, medical horror stories are emerging from the Vavuniya IDP camps.The appalling stories have been brought to light by sources within the camps, who refused to state their names out of fear of retribution from Sri Lankan authorities.

This is in addition to fears of flooding by the displaced people, who are being held in closed camps guarded by soldiers. Monsoon rains are expected to begin in little more than a month, and many aid groups worry that the hastily constructed camps will not survive the inundation.

In this backdrop, out of the government’s fear that Tamil medical personnel in the IDP camps may expose the real situation and statistics to media and the outside world, the Sri Lankan government has begun a pogrom of installing Singhalese health officials into the camps and begun removing the Tamil officers.

Under such trying circumstances, with thousands of pregnant women, children and the elderly forming much of the sick and injured IDP population, deaths have inevitably increased and the true figures of these deaths have been systematically erased by the newly appointed Singhalese heath authorities who have been carrying out the government’s special orders.
